- Thank you for using Simple Install. I hope this is a utility you use often.
-
- Simple Install is a "simple" to use utility to do simple installations.
-
- I designed Simple Install with 4 goals in mind; a small executable; a
- professional, but not overdone, interface; as few user required inputs
- as possible; and a very simple and straight forward build process. I
- think I achieved all of these goals. There are install programs that do
- everything in the world for you; after you learn a new language. There is
- a place for these programs but none can call themselves, Simple Install.
-
-
- Below is a list of all files included in the Simple Install distribution.

-

-
- Tech Section:
- Simple Install was developed with Borland's Turbo C++ v3.0 and FUNCky II by
- dLesko. I would reccomend both for any developer.
-
-
- Future Plans:
-
- 1. Re-writing simpcom.exe and the decompress portion of install.exe to
- reduce the size of install.exe and to increase the compression factor of
- simpcom.exe.
-
- 2. A language independant install.exe. Messages will be loaded into
- install.exe during the build process after a language has been identified.
-
-
- Kudos:
-
- I would like to thank Don Watkins, sysop of the CIS IBM Programming Forum
- and the beta testers who volunteered their time to make this a better
- product.
